Cohear is seeking an intern to join our team for the spring of 2022. This position will work side-by-side with Cohear staff to draft communications materials based on community focus groups, write policy memos, and provide support and assistance to our community organizing and communications work. This position will be paid $15/hr, and requires a minimum of a 12-week commitment. This position will take place in a primarily remote fashion, though occasional in-person participation in Cincinnati or Columbus will be expected. Interns will be expected to work 10-15 hours per week, with the option to work more if scheduling allows.
Activities Include:
Transcribing Cohear focus groups
Drafting insights summaries after each Cohear focus group
Writing policy and research memos
Providing operations and administrative assistance for our organizing and outreach efforts
Coordinating logistics for digital and potential in-person focus groups (the latter only as it is safe to do so)
Assisting other staff as needed
Preferred Skills:
Clear, effective writing
Commitment to making positive change at the local level
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Eagerness to have flexible day-to-day responsibilities, and a strong capacity to adapt to new projects and opportunities
Research and information synthesis skills
